On Tuesday, Ikeja Chief Magistrates’ Court Sentenced one Henry Okeke, 23, to Six (6) Months’ Imprisonment for Stealing Two (2) Cartons of Malta Guinness Drink and a Motorcycle , all valued at N155,000.   - Chief Magistrate O.A. Layinka in her judgment gave no option of fine to the convict tried for stealing. - “The accused is to serve his jail-term in Kirikiri Prison to serve as a deterrent to others,’’ she ruled. The unemployed accused is a resident of Abolaji Street, Mafoluku in Oshodi, a suburb of Lagos. - The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the convict was initially arraigned on July 18 . A woman named Gloria At No 14b, Olu Akerele street, Balogun bus/stop off Awolowo way, Ikeja, Lagos has been arrested by the police after she blinded one of the eyes of her 12-year-old houseboy "Peter", following brutal and frequent torture.  Gloria had employed the Togo based minor to assist her with house chores but unfortunately, the housemaid has been suffering several beatings from the woman and in one of such cruel beatings, Peter lost an eye.
