Kano truck accident leaves 19 people dead

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) says 19 persons have died in a ghastly motor accident along Kano – Katsina Road. The Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the FRSC Sector Command in the state, Mr Kabir Ibrahim-Daura, disclosed this to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Kano on Saturday. Kabir-Daura said that the incident occurred near Lambun Garban Bichi, on the outskirts of Bichi town, around 8:30 a.m. on Friday. According to him, the incident happened when a Peugeot J5 bus and a Toyota C20 bus had a head-on collision when one of the drivers of the vehicles wanted to overtake the other vehicle at a sharp bend corner. Uncompleted Shopping Complex Collapsed in the South-western part of Nigeria (Itoku, Abeokuta, Ogun State)

An Uncompleted Four Storey Building Shopping Complex accidentally collapsed in the South-western part of Nigeria ( Itoku, Abeokuta, Ogun State ) around 8: 30 AM with uncertain amount of people inside the building. Dead bodies are currently being evacuated from the building, as well as other injured people. At the scene of the incident, the Southwest Coordinator of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), Yakubu Sulaimon, said that the officials of NEMA, Ogun State Fire Service and some other agencies were on ground for the rescue operations. Two injured people were discharged already and two people were confirmed dead with a recognized woman. The report is still developing as the reason for the collapse is yet unknown, we will keep you abreast as soon as more details emerge.      R.I.P to the deceased.

Tanker Accident at Iyana Ipaja Causes Fire and Alot of Damages

A fire incident occurred in Iyana Ipaja yesterday morning. Sources at the scene the fire started around 1:30 a.m on Tuesday morning, and that it was caused by an accident involving a fuel tanker that lost control and was upturned.
