NEWS: Robbery Going On Presently In Two Banks At Ogolonto IKorodu Road

Reports reaching us this moment says that armed robbery is currently happening in Ikorodu Lagos state.

There’s a Police Station adjacent the scene of the robbery.

The Armed robbers and policemen are presently engaged in heavy shooting following a robbery attack on First Bank and Zenith bank in Ikorodu this morning.

A tweet by the police and citizen reporters confirmed the report, although PM News is yet to confirm the report. The police has however warned residents around the area to steer clear the ongoing fire exchange. “Our officers are responding to armed robbery at #Ogolonto, Ikorodu Lagos. Citizens are advised to stay off vicinity.”




Guarantee Trust Bank in Ikorodu has reportedly sent out all customers and locked all members of staff inside.

According to Channels TV, the robbers have escaped through lagoon with unspecified amount of money.

Remember the story about the police officer who shot himself, his senior colleague and a recharge card seller named Chidinma over claims of infidelity? (read story  here>> ). Well new facts have emerged about the story and a graphic pic from the horrific murder-suicide scene has also emerged. According to eyewitnesses, the incident happened at Karu town near CBN quarters in Abuja on Thursday April 30th. The police corporal who had been dating the recharge card seller, went to see her on that faithful day and met her in company of another police officer who he immediately accused of sleeping with his girlfriend. The accusation was said to have made his senior colleague angry who then ordered him to leave the place or he will be dealt with.

More women and children freed from Sambisa Forest

25 men and women have reportedly been rescued Sambisa forest. According to Al Jazeerah, Nigerian Army spokesperson, Colonel Sani Usman said today that the women and children were freed during a military operation in the forest this morning May 6th. One soldier was reportedly killed while five others sustained injuries.
